TOPIC: READ THE WORD OF GOD
BIBLE TEXT: JEREMIAH 36:1-10, PSALMS 19
Memory Verse: Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the Lord in the ears of the people in the Lord’s house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all judah that come out of their cities. Jeremiah 36:6
Everday, we are to:
1) Read the words of God,
2) Hear the words of God,
3) Do the words of God,
4) Meditate upon the words of God,
5) Act upon the words of God,
6) Share the words of God, (and most importantly we must)
7) Know the words of God
When we read the words of God, it edifies our mind, body, soul, and spirit.
2 Timothy 3:15-17 says, “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works”.
Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”.
The words of God is spirit and life. John 6:63 says, ” The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”.
When we read the words of God everyday, we receive the life and spirit of God everyday.
