TOPIC: RESTED FROM WAR
MEMORY VERSE: So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord said to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war. Joshua 11:23
BIBLE TEXT: JOSHUA 11:20-23
When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour, we receive divine peace from the Prince of Peace: The Almighty God.
The words of Jesus in John 14:27 reads, “Peace I leave with you, my peace i give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”.
The only way to rest from war within and war around us is to hand over our hearts totally to Jesus Christ to occupy it and take control. When Jesus stepped into the boat of Peter, the storm rested.
Mark 4:39 says, “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm”.
Please hand over your hearts totally to Jesus Christ to receive the blessing of divine peace and deliverance from war.
Psalms 24:4-5 says, “He that hath clean hearts, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Despite all the battles and war within and without, God showed up for the Israelites and they rested from war.
Likewise, we can rest from war too and receive the blessing of everlasting peace when we surrender our lives and hearts to Jesus Christ forever.
Let’s pray: I confess to God that I am a sinner, and believing that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins on the cross and was raised for my justification.
I invite Jesus Christ to come into my life and become a part of it. I want to have a new life, eternal life from today on.
I now receive and confess him as my personal lord and Saviour.
Jesus Christ the son of God, please give me the blessing of everlasting peace today and forever more, in Jesus’ name, Amen!”.
Praise the Lord and Welcome to the family of God!.
